Fortunately I live on a dead-end street. Five trips to either end and back equals .998 mile (good enough to say 1 mile).
I do this 5 days a week except for work days which are also physical. I play in a duo and lug PA gear, speakers, saxophone, guitars, synthesizers and stand to play at least 3 hours without a break For those who don't do it, gigging is physical.
Now that bands are banned in Florida, I walk 6 days a week. I figure the body needs one day of rest.
I do at least 3 miles and at most 4 miles. 4 takes a bit more than one hour.
I use my hamstring muscles as the main propelling force, but I do the power walk arm thing. Sometimes I put little weights on my wrists but the weather is getting too hot for that.
