I get the same types of looks here at work. I've got a plate full of lettuce, cucumbers, chicken salad, cheese, pepperoni, and olives. Then I pour on some ranch dressing. I can't tell you how many times I've heard, "Well, you just took the healthy out of that salad". What do they know???
