You may also want to examine what kind of supplementation you're using. A good dose of calcium, magnesium, and potassium usually solves any leg aches I feel. Those minerals help to replenish electrolytes lost as LC acts as a natural diuretic. In addition, you may want to add glutamine after workouts. It REALLY helps muscle recovery.

Since I've been weightlifting, I'm up to 30-40 carbs a day and wouldn't want to eat much less. I feel my after weights meal of a carb-free fat-free protein drink with a scoop of glutamine and half an apple is pretty essential to my muscles feeling their best.

Hope you figure out what works for you. Make sure you're letting your muscles rest and recover!
