I went out and bought many of the recommended supplements before I started.

I originally purchased fish oil to get the fatty acids -- but then I did some more research. You need to watch you don't overdo the Vitamin A which always comes in fish oil. I already had a lot of Vit A in my daily multivitamin and the fish oil with more Vit A put me way over the recommended dose.

So I took back my fish oil and got Flax seed oil instead. Same type of fatty acids but no Vitamin A.

Just food for thought. The body does not excrete excess Vit A and it accumulates in your system and can have side effects.

If you're using fish oil, it may be worthwhile to check how much total vit A you're getting -- if you're also taking a multi.

There's a lot of info on the internet so you can check your own intake against recommendations. I'm no expert by any means.

Right now I'm taking flax seed oil plus Evening primrose because each offers a different kind of fatty acid. I'm also taking E, Pottasium, Calcium/Magnesium, B Complex, Vit D (be careful with this too) and Chromium.

Sheesh! A month ago I took nothing except my multi when I remembered.
