I get most of my moderate readings in the morning. Just for the heck of things, I've been peeing on the sticks to look for trends and where is what I've found.

30-45 minutes after consuming lots of fat, my ketones shoot up.

If I workout then measure, I move back to trace.

If I workout, rest, then measure 2-3 hours later, I am back up to moderate.

If I drink a lot of water then stop for 4-5 hours, I typically have 2-3 full pees left in me. The first one comes after about 15-20 mins and is a trade, the 2nd one comes 45mins or so after and is a better trace, and the final one, 2 hours or more after last drink is back to moderate.

So, with all this disgusting pee measuring aside I notice several things:

1) The morning pee is the most concentrated on ketones.
2) Ketones aren't as concentrated after longer term workouts.
3) The more water I dirnk the more the ketone levels are diluted.

This one is really important
4) If I eat a carb snack ( cheat ) and go out of ketosis, it can typically take me 16-24 hours to get back in to it naturally. If I get in a brisk walk or something to burn it off, I can get back in to ketosis faster, say 12-16 hours instead. ( Please don't use this as an urge to cheat and get away with it. Each time you cheat, you can lose up to 2 days of profitable induction and it is just not worth it)
