Yes. It does it in several ways. On the main page it show yellow bulbs for forum with new posts. It also has a link "View new messages" that will show you all the new messages in all forums.

Once you click on a forum, each thread with new messages will show a yellow envelope rather than the grey one. The colours can be changed to make them more contrasting and more obvious.
