As a you are new member, can I suggest you check the LowCarb Yellow Pages (see the quick links over to the right?) for possible stores that have been submitted by our members... might want to submit that Calgary store there, too, it's how we keep our shared info in an easily findable format.

You might want to check the Readers' Recipes webpage and the LowCarb Kitchen Forum for those recipes, they have been member tested and are quite affordable, the products used in them are readily available in health food stores and grocery store bulk bins. There are tips about the ingredients themselves in the Kitchen forum, so you've got some entertaining learning and reading to do here.

As you are an Easterner, too, you might want to check out the http://www.lowcarbfooddepot.com, I believe they carry Atkins' and that will keep the shipping down being within the Eastern postal zone (Toronto, that is).
