Have you had your 25(OH)D levels checked?
I found that correcting vitamin D3 status made a huge difference to the way my skin repairs itself.
Levels above 50ng/ml are required to ensure your body has sufficient to operate the immune system effectively although if you have a chronic inflammatory condition it may be worth going above 60ng/ml. Most people require 5000~6000iu/daily to achieve a level around 55ng/ml although there is considerable variation.

It is also worth making sure you have adequate amounts of omega 3.
Taking 1~2g of EPA+DHA daily should in about 4 weeks see a difference in circulating amounts although to see significant differences in tissue levels requires this to be continued for a couple of years at least and combined with a reduction in omega 6 intake particularly industrial vegetable oils such as corn, soybean, safflower and sunflower oil, and everything that contains them.
