This is all new for me with the thyroid...but I thought it was something about me. Since I had surgery dec. 2001 I couldn't get back into ketosis. I was forgetting things, I whole body was covered with dry skin. I was exusted but couldn't sleep. I took benadryl ever night to sleep or something over the counter. No matter what I eat I couldn't lose weight. those where the top symtoms I had. I had others too but I finally switched offices from my dr. and the nurse practicioner trated me for a uniranry tract infection and listen to my other symtoms and didn't say anything to me but sent me for a blood work-up as well as culture. and low and behold the thyroid was low. Never even mentioned that my temp was low too. lol
