Yeah, the thread is only 6 years old.../sigh.
As Susan said earlier though, it is hard to get much more natural than insulin. The only thing I take, essentially, for BG control is Lantus twice a day and the injections hurt much less than taking my BG. They hurt MUCH LESS than the way Susan takes her BG. 
I should mention I am still on a very low carb diet until I get closer to my weight goal... that makes it real easy to "normalize" BG.
