I've had really good luck using Diet Rite soda and plain gelatin. I used the package direction that calls for fruit juice. I use 1 cup of cold to soften the gelatin and microwave the rest (about 4 minutes in my 17 year old microwave). Add 2 packets of Splenda to softening gelatin. Add hot soda to softened gelatin. Stir really good to melt the gelatin. It will foam. Let it sit for a couple on minutes before pouring into container to be refrigerated.

Also...I'm a gummi nut! I've modified the above recipe to created what I call Almost a Gummi

use 1 1/2 cup hot soda
1 cup cold soda
2 packets Splenda
follow heating/mixing directions as above. Pour into 9X13 glass pan and refrigerate for at least 3 hours. Cut into very thin strips for "worms" or cut very thin strips in opposite direction for mini blocks.

I keep mine in a baggie in the frige. Enjoy!
