I use it almost every day. However, what _I_ do different - since I hate cleaning - is line it with aluminum foil. One sheet on the bottom, one on the top. When the meat (or chicken) is done, I throw out the foil and have only to rinse out the fat-dripping-thing and put it away. Very easy!!
