If you want something to keep a record of your food and have it do the work of figuring out your carbs, calories, protein, fat etc, you can do it online and for free at www.fitday.com You can either start a journal so you;'ll know how you are doing each day or just use it to look up values for a particular food.

I haven't heard of the NutriCounter. And I don't think I could get another thing into my already loaded down purse. How about carrying a copy of the Atkins Induction List or the Phase One of the Protein Power Plan?
