Hi toeman,

The no alcohol rule during induction is to get your body buring the fat first not the alcohol. Everyone is different. Alcohol makes me stall and hold water - other people find they can tolerate some alcohol and still lose weight. This way of eating is designed for the long term so why not experiment. If you feel you need those two scotches and you can still lose weight then good for you.

Chlorophyll tablets might control your bad breath. Some people have bad reactions to nurasweet. It is rather contraversial. Most sugar free gum I've seen contains sorbitol and other sugar alcohols. People also react differently to these. Again why not try them and see.

I'm sorry I can't give you concrete answers. This way of eating is a lot about finding out what works for you personally.

Best of luck.
Robert
