Friday AM
1hr 15mins of total body weight training (Body for Life)
45mins on the stairclimber (2.5 miles)
15mins of interval training the treadmill (1 mile)
Pookie, I can only run on SOME days, too. I started out jogging at 5.2 for 2 minutes then 3 and so forth. I increased my time every week and voila! Now I'm running intervals...so I'll start out at 5.2 then increase until I'm at 6.5 then work my way back down the ladder. I can do this for about 10-11 mins.
I did my first 5k run/walk with some friends last month. The race was noncompetitive so it wasn't timed. I'm not sure how long it took me but I know that I wasn't last.
The run/walk really built my confidence so since then I have really pushed myself to give 100%. But SOME days I just walk because my body needs a break.
I'm proud of myself this week because so far I've completed all but one goal. I've also completed a total of 21 miles on cardio machines this week.
I still have to do one more "recreational session." More than likely that will be a brisk walk through the neighborhood sometime tomorrow.
