Hi Steve!

I haven't had a heart attack, but I am a nearly 41 year old diabetic and I've been able to get off both my Glucophage and my blood pressure medication following low carb.
I've been low carbing for over 18 months and recently my doc sent me for a Thallium stress test. The result was that I appear to have no coronary artery disease at all.
Definitely check out the diabetes forum as well as the cholesterol/heart disease forum. I think you'll find a lot of very helpful information in both.
