I'd find it rather amusing if it weren't so sad that they keep quoting all these studies that show that those who eat a high fat diet have a higher incidence of coronary artery disease, but I've noted that they never report what the carb intake along with the fat was. Has it never occurred to them that maybe it's wasn't the fat all along and perhaps it was the combination of fat with carbs that was the problem? Where, also, are the studies that show that any lives have been saved or CAD prevented by lowering fat intake????
I'd be willing to bet that if they went back to those studies and examined what the level of carb intake of those studied was (if it was in fact recorded), they'd find that it was universally higher than it should be.
