Default Does green tea cause high blood pressure?

Hi everyone,

I suffer from high blood pressure. I've been trying various things to get it down. These have included:

Eating 2 to 3 'teeth' of garlic a day.

Not adding salt to anything.

Taking a 500mg Potassium Orate tablet daily.

Just recently I've tried drinking loads of green tea.

Imagine my horror this evening when I measured my blood pressure and it was not its sometimes 140/80 to its 150/100 but had climbed to 165/100

Could this be the green tea (or the caffine in it) speeding up my metabolism? In all the literature I've read on green tea it says it reduces high blood pressure.

I'm going off green tea for a few days to see if that's the culprit.

Any ideas anyone?

Regards,

Robert
