I've been drinking green tea too. I bought a box in the summer and never got into it. But since I'm so limited on beverages now I've been trying new things.
I've also taken a liking to Kava Kava tea and St. Johns Wort tea. Helps keep you less stressed out. I fed a cup of it to my friend because he was freaking out about his girlfriend (like always, what a paranoid bugger) and like 30 min later he totally calmed down. Works like a charm :P

I searched up green tea on the net just the other day, and found this site:

There's one part that really stands out to me, and thats this one:
Quote:
Green tea antioxidants have been shown to have a direct effect on lowering cholesterol levels. Green tea also causes carbohydrates to be released slowly, preventing sharp increases in blood-insulin levels. This promotes the burning of fat.

Sounds like it could be just perfect for a diet like this. So even the carbs you do eat dont cause your blood sugar to spike.

The only thing I worry about is the caffeine. Currently its the only source of that in my diet. I'm only on day 4 of induction,s o Id ont know if thats a problem yet. But I hope not!
