Default Carb-Up Difficulties

Hey people, I need some input here.
For the past three weeks, I performed a solid depletion workout (14 exercises, 4 sets, 20 reps, fast) and immediately started a carb up with a dextrose based drink, followed by a Met-Rx w/ added sugar an hour or so later, then a high carb meal, etc.
About three hours into the carb-up I develop very uncomfortable reflux, then, well, let's call it a forceful ejection of everything I've eaten a few hours later. And I only got in probably 250g of carbs when this happened. Third week in a row.
It appears that I can't tolerate the sudden high carb shift. I need an alternative.
Perhaps a TKD carb up before lifting of about 20g and skip the big carb-up for a week?
On a positive note,I've radically increased the amount of lifting I can do and it feels really great. I can feel and see a significant increase in muscle mass over the past month. I want to be able to continue this level of intensity.
Waistline has not budged in 8 weeks though, which is discouraging.
Comments please.
