Ok...ok...enough of the dentist cracks....I have practiced almost 15 years. I've noticed and my wife has too that we tend to get more tartar when on really high protein diets (200-300 gms/day). I have some bodybuilder patients that also have noticed more tartar build up. This may be due to some chemical changes in the saliva without all the starchy and sugary foods.

Your teeth may be cleaner because you are probably taking better care of your self and that is reflected in your oral hygiene. And, staying away from the sugary Cokes will save you alot of time, pain, and money. Sodas are the #1 cavity causer in my opinion.
