I'm actually just like you when it comes to grains....I eat whole grains on a very limited basis . They scare me but when I do have a 1/2 cup of brown rice or a wasa rye cracker it sure does make me happy!! I had my first pumpernickel bagel in 11 months this past weekend...it was scary but I actually lost weight over this weekend!!
I also eat Dreamfields pasta about once every 2 weeks.....Its amazing if you haven't tried it yet. Its a semolina flour pasta infused with fiber to bring the carb count down to 5 net grams of carbs per serving. It has been tested on diabetics and they have no rise on blood sugar when eating it. It tastes just like regluar pasta, which was important to me as I really don't like whole wheat pasta. I eat with mixed with a veggie, some chicken breast and marinara sauce Its one of my favorite meals!!
