I've got news for the good doctor. I'm still at least 40 lbs from a "normal" body weight (whatever that may be) and haven't required any medications to control my blood sugars for several months now. As a matter of fact, my blood sugars were in the normal range within two weeks of starting low carb.
Pssst....doc.....it wasn't the weight loss!
