health. People who are 100 pounds overweight are healthier by every measure than their inactive thin counterparts, if they simply exercise 30 minutes five times per week.
also, I think many of us tend to be overly into our heads--all intellect and too little spirit and body. Exercise puts you into your body...do it outdoors, and it becomes a spiritual experience, as well!
