Hmmmm .. if they'd been following a carb-controlled diet along with the exercise, and a higher fat intake that included monounsaturates and omega-3's .. chances are they would have lowered their LDL, significantly reduced triglycerides, lowered blood pressure and RAISED the good HDL (not just have it "not decline" ) ... and achieved this without the expensive drugs and their side effects.
