Gee, it's a shame your daughter became hypothyroid at such an early age! But at least it's better to know about it than wonder what the heck is wrong with you.

I am still angry with that endocrinologist for missing what I now know to be classic symptoms of hypothyroidism: dry, dull, thinning hair and dry, dull skin. If I had realized that at the time I'd have insisted he do something or I'd have found another doctor. I shudder to think what would have happened if we hadn't moved to Vancouver and found our doctor there!
