Hi Glynis and welcome to this forum. It is a great place to come for advice, information, support and motivation. Since I joined in February I have found it a great help.

I am also from the UK, working in London and living in Orpington. Have you got the Atkins book? Hopefully you have read it through and are just starting out on induction. You may find the first week rough going in places, but once you get into the second week you should never look back. I'm still at it almost a year later.

There are quite a number of UK people on this forum and one way to meet them is to post in the UK forum, but also to make friends generally it is a good idea to start a journal. See sticky at top of page.
