I think what they are refering to in that quote is eating ONE of those things, and not all of them in one sitting. I know that I regularly (like once a week, or once every two weeks) have the spicey grilled chicken (sans bun) at Wendy's with no ill effects.

The reasoning, to me, is that if you're out and you have no truly LC choices then eating something with a few carbs, just that once, isn't going to throw a huge monkey wrench into your WOE. Of course, a lot of this will depend on your CCLL (I know mine is quite high).
