Question Low Carb and Breast Cancer

I'm a new member. I did low fat diet for 10 yrs. Result, high cholesterol, gained weight. On Protein Power Diet for 2 yrs. It works for me. Dropped 86 points in Chol. Diagnosed with breast cancer July 2000. Finished chemo and radiation. Diet went out the window during that time. Now my Total Chol. is 345, LDL 206, HDL 125 and Trig. 70. Should I be concerned with the total being high as long as my HDL is high and Trig. low? Cancer diet is very little animal products (protein)with lots of whole grains, fruits and veggies. This doesn't work for me. I am about 10 lbs. over weight and don't feel good. I can't have soy products either because my tumor was ER neg. (estrogen receptors). I want to do what is best for my health. I am having a difficult time getting back on the low carb diet. I guess emotional reasons and not being sure of which diet to follow. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
