You CAN gain muscle while on a CKD/BO ... but keep in mind that it is a FAT LOSS plan primarily. If you are looking to gain muscle mass, it may not be the best plan for you.
You would be better off cycling a CKD phase (8 weeks or so), with a period of slightly higher calorie intake and super-intense lifitng (again 6 to 8 weeks.)
I use this approach and really enjoy the results.
