That answers your question about taking protein in before a workout ...

However, if you are fasted, there is no added glucose or aminos in your bloodstream to be burned as fuel. When you are fasted, a majority will come from fat stores and whatever trace glucose or aminos are in the bloodstream.

I think I made sense ... LOL ... It's getting late, I need to eat, and I just played 4 games of basketball ... ugh
