Maybe not--not sure how you get from "not eating salmon or dairy" to "not much fun for you!" I'm not having any trouble sticking to what I consider "allowed foods," given my own preferences.

On the RDA: Whether one believes that the RDA is adequate is a philosophical issue rather than fact, IMO. The RDA will prevent the most obvious deficiency diseases. It will not always provide enough to sustain radiant health. At this point in my life and WOE, I'm a supplement junkie. YMMV.

We each have to evaluate our own preferences, habits, willingness to shop or cook, tolerance for sameness or need for variety, budget, understanding about organics, soil content, exposure to environmental challenges, etc. and make a decision about whether our diets are adequate. Way many variables.

The biggest concern is that it's pretty near impossible to do a double-blind study when you only have one rat. Decisions we make now may only show up when we're 80.
