We hear mostly negative speculation, not fact or research-derived results, about the Atkins diet in the media -- especially from dieticians.

Yes, that's what I started to think from my own efforts and that's why I put the question here!

The best thing IS probably to ignore it! But I also have to convince my GP who's very sceptical and her response was quite negative!
