Unhappy Well....yes

My specialist did recommend a program (unfortunately he does not have much experience with vegans) his program is called the Insulin Control Diet...which breaks down to 40 total carbs and 650-1000 calories PER DAY for women in the weight loss phase. This is to allow for 2-3 pounds of loss per week. This is inconceivable for me due to the fact that IF I only consume 40 carbs per day...I get no where near 650 calories....let alone 1000. That is if I don't eat dairy or eggs (vegan). I recently visited with a dietician who put me on a plan of 202 carbs and 1800 calories a day. I actually have been doing what you suggest in that I am reading everything that I can get my hands on...CALP right now. I am pretty much doing my own plan as of now. I am feeling better about it now...I went through a downer the other day. But now I am trying some low carb products and really just trying to be as careful as I can without changing my vegan ways. I truly want to remain vegan....but it looks as though I will have to be vegetarian for a while (at least until pregnancy). Thank you for the support!!!! I always appreciate when someone lets me know some ideas!! I am going to do this....I am determined.
