How fast do you think you shoud be losing? Based on what?
You're not in your 20's any more. You've done at least one diet in the past. Other factors may result in a slower loss than you were hoping for.
But since this is a permanent change in your eating habits (right?) it doesn't matter in the long run. The weight will come off in it's own good time.
Start a journal and track your activities and intake. Others can then review it and suggest ways to optimize your progress.
