Hi Allen

Before I began this WOL, I had a minor arthoscopic operation as well. I was doing Weight Watchers at the time and gained weight as well. You probably don't want to hear this, but it was 4 weeks before I started losing again. I think that the body probably kicks all it's defence mechanisms in when it's been invaded and poked around in at all. I'm sure that one of those is much like the starvation defence mode in that it's preparing to endure a long bout of punishment or illness by hanging onto everything !

Give your body time to heal, and just forgo weighing yourself for a while. Know that it's going to take time and relax. As long as you stick to your WOE you should be just fine.

I assume that the operation was a success and wish you a speedy recovery!
