That's a whole lot of weight you are carrying Del.
If one sticks to a LC diet the initial loss of weight can be impressive but if you default by returning to carbs that weight will be regained just as quickly.
LC is a way of life which happens to have an unsociable side to it like when eating away from home when you're not in control of the diet. It is then that planning is required in advance on how to overcome such potential problems.
When first entering the diet some people experience side-effects and one of the common is constipation until the body adjusts to the new diet. Taking a little coconut daily (any coconut product) helps in managing this awkward problem.
On average one can expect to lose 14 lbs in the first 2 - 3 weeks then thereafter around 3 - 4 lbs weekly, but, much depends on the person's weight on entry and their commitment thereafter.
