Nosy Mom person poking in here too... ANY parent who makes those kind of comments to their child needs a good shaking. If they honestly THINK being mean is going to motivate you to change, they're just ignorant. If they don't think it will help, then they're just being petty and mean and taking their own issues out on you. In any case...it's not your fault. You aren't heavy on purpose just to spite them, but you're more than likely heavy from DEALING with them... self-medicating with food.

You can turn it around (all of you) and stay strong. Just try to remember their mean comments are SO not about YOU... whatever problems they have in their own heads, or whatever their issues were with THEIR parents are being played out in your relationship. You didn't ask for it, you don't deserve it, and you can make YOURSELF happy and healthy in spite of their "help"... The old saying "what doesn't kill us makes us stronger" is true. You can bet someday when YOU have kids, you'll be sensitive and gentle with them because you know what it's like to get treated otherwise.
