I spoke with my friend (pharmacist) today and told him of my difficulty in finding a potassium suppliment that was over 160mg. I told him that I needed 500mg/day & that I did not want to take 4-5 pills/day. He told me that 600mg of potassium is available OTC, you just have to ask the pharmacist. They are $9.00CDN for 100 pills which is much better than paying $6 for 90 pills that you have to take 5/day of. They are normally used by people who are taking diuretics and need to increase their potassium. I'm sure if you explain why you need them they will dispense them. If they do not, and have a problem with LC...I don't normally advocate lying but...
