What I have learned about Carbs
After eating carbs for two days including a bagel, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, cheese enchiladas and 3 pieces of chocolate covered macadamia nuts here is what I have learned:
1. Carbs make me sleepy
2. I am much hungrier when I include carbs in my diet
3. Water doesn't taste good and I am not nearly as thirsty (down from 4 liters to 1.5 liters the last two days)
4. I feel bloated
5. I worry about the effects the carbs have on my body and how it will interact with the fats. I try to save myself with eating a couple of high fat meals but then did the carb thing again. I know you can't do both!
6. I crave coffee (which I gave up at New Years)
7 I am much moodier!
These are just some of my observations over the last two days. I have lost 20+ pounds and will go back to LCing on Monday when I leave my daughters (sushi on the menu for Sunday night - my favorite ). Just though others might have some of these reactions also.
