My personal experience has been that by INCREASING my protein, and ensuring that I consume a minimum of 100 grams .. preferably 120 grams .. that my weight loss has rallied, and I feel better as well. There's more to protein requirement than a person's weight and LBM .. I'm disabled and very sedentary. One would think that my protein needs would be low, but in fact, they are high.
Everyone is different, and it's terrific when you branch out, seek information and find out for yourself what works for YOU.
