Greetings and welcome aboard!
It is VERY common to not lose weight or even gain some in the second week - especially if you lost a BUNCH in the first week. It is merely your body reclaiming some of the water it shed that it shouldn't have.
As for the 10x to 12x calorie rule - that rule is limited to people that have reasonable fat percentages. You and I do not. Your base line rate should be based on so much per lean mass and so much per fat. I've done a bit of searching and found a few sites that seem to give decent data. IIRC, the best rule of thumb that deals with us is for a baseline of about 400 calories plus an additional 10 to 12 calories for every pound of lean body weight and perhaps another 2 to 4 calories for every pound of fat.
For me, that puts me between 2480 and 3200.
So be sure to eat enough - always stay above 2000 at the least (and, yes, I need to practice what I preach). And always drink LOTS and LOTS of water. And do NOT get discouraged with slow results here and there - they are a natural part of the process.
