I used to be a runner!!!!!! Until I got serious about losing the flab, that is. Even when I was running 50-70 miles per week, most of them at 7-8 minutes per mile pace, I couldn't burn off this fat! Of course, I was high carbing at the time! Since starting Atkins, I have tremendous energy and can even jump rope very fast (160 jumps per minute) for an hour without stopping. However, I also experience the "no gas" thing when running. Strange that it effects running, but not rope jumping. Anyway, I am more than willing to sacrifice running to boost my health and lose weight. That's just my experience, though.
