I run 6-16 miles a week. Without the carbo-boost, you may have to re-learn how to run on just your muscle strength and endurance!

Take it slow and do a low-carb, build-up. You will find that you gain muscle that you never knew you could and you can always resort to carbing if you absolutely have too. But we're talking about your health here. Wouldn't you rather have better health and run a little slower, than use carbs to boost your running times and have poorer health.

After building up, I now run just as fast as my carb-a-holic friends, do. But I recover faster.

J.
