I have a bacterial infection and my doctor has prescribed Doxycyline. I have not heard of it. When looking it up on the web I basically get the same info as the pharmacy pamphlet. I can't seem to find out WHY it can cause esophagal(sorry for the spelling) problems, or why you can't lay down for 30 minutes after. Also why can you NOT take it with food. I'm guessing the food thing is about absorption. But the other two? It kind of worries me. How strong of a medicine is this? It's 100mg 2x a day.
