Question Trying to get combinations right

Hi-
I am doing an Atkins with a bit of Protein Power modified diet. That is because I have trouble understanding the way Atkins writes (all the hype and then the diet is a bit vague) - and got frustrated with him when he changed so much of the diet in his new book. I find the Eades book very easy to understand.

I am seeing that by using Fitday it is possible to refine the combinations of Fat versus carb versus protein pretty easily. Also, in reading some of these wonderful postings I have gotten some interesting ways to keep honest. For example:

Don't eat more that 10 g carbs in one meal
Don't eat more than 30 g protein in a meal or it will turn into sugar

Are there any others because these have helped me begin to refine my own diet for my own body. Thanks so much everyone for this great web site - it has helped me so very much!
