In its next broadcast, 48 Hours examines the controversial Dr. Atkins diet and other weight-loss methods being employed by the more than 52 million Americans who are trying to lose weight.

Experts will weigh in on a variety of diet plans, over-the-counter drugs, prescription medications, surgical techniques such as the Fobi pouch, and nutritional plans such as those of the Beverly Hills nutritionist who has gained a reputation as "the food Nazi."
