I've never noticed a difference in taste with farm fresh v. store bought, but the yolks really stand up on them and the shells seem to crack easier. I think that it's harder to peel hard boiled fresh eggs than store brand. I can buy a dozen of large eggs at Meijer for .89 right now, so the price is definately different.
