thanks DebPenny. i guess i should have done some more research. typically, in south korea (where sesame oil is used widely) it doesn't have to be refrigerated, which is of course means it had to be heat-processed. i'll have to limit my intake from now on. add one more to the list of reasons south koreans won't ever go for this WOE. but that's another story...
