As I read through these lists, there were some things that stuck out and seemed odd that I was wondering if you had any more information about. First of all, it seems odd to me that citrus fruits and tomatoes are considered alkaline and encouraged, b/c I always considered them highly acidic. Am I wrong?

On the list of avoids....avocado and flaxseed oil seem strange to avoid when you can eat regular avocados and flaxseeds. Another oil that surprised me was olive oil, often touted as a miracle food. Also, I was incredibly perplexed by seeing that fish, including salmon should be avoided. That's not one I've heard before. Or how is it that turkey is bad for you, but chicken is not?

I guess I am just confused as to how these foods were determined to go into the category that they did. If you have any additional information that can help shed some light on this issue, I would greatly appreciate it. Again, thanks so much for your time!
